Is Porn The Mother Of All Ruins In Teenage Relationships?

So yesterday I was listening to some college kids talking about their worst experiences in their relationships and I couldn’t help but think to a sorry me, “Does the internet have any role to play in this debacle?”

Well, of course you would agree it does. It’s said that everybody who owns a smart phone or a computer, (which obviously includes every teenager in the 21st century), has watched porn at least once in their lifetime. The trick is always to hide it from everybody else (even though some teens don’t bother hiding anything).

Sadly, I remember the first time I watched porn. I was only 9. It was an old couple sex scene and frankly speaking, it was actually very disturbing. The actors did some pretty extreme shit that a kid my age would never comprehend, even after a century.

With this globalization and so many avenues for socializing, every teenager today wants to be in a relationship; to be in love, they say. But again almost every teenager today has a problem with porn. So if you mix love and porn, what do you get? Let’s find out;

Freaky Sex

Is it a fight or a ‘love’?  You see, as a result of porn, teenagers nowadays tend to do a lot of ‘testing’. They want to be the ones trying out every crazy position they see on those screens. This is of course until someone breaks their spine while trying to imitate the devil himself. That’s when they realize that it was actually a recap of World War 2 in bed and not love.  I think our ancestors would probably have castrated these kids if they saw the kind of hunger games they are calling love today.

Porn sets improbable standards

The basis of every relationship is acceptance. Love is blind, but porn kind of ruins this. Once you get into the habit of watching porn, you will definitely develop certain physical interests. If you’re a girl, you’ll probably want your boyfriend to work out more, put on a suit or even get a nine pack. If you’re a guy, you’ll probably want your girl to dye their head red or show up to your house in yoga pants every day.

While sometimes it’s necessary to change your partner, you might find yourself being too selfish and make your partner feel ‘inadequate’. So many men feel dissatisfied with their lovers just because they don’t look kinky enough, and the situation is so demoralizing to the woman, especially the African woman.

Porn takes away the entire value of a relationship

Teenagers need to understand that a relationship not only involves physical connection but also emotional and intellectual connections. As you mature up, you’ll realize that there is more to loving a woman, than just sex. Porn will teach you, as a man, to view women as objects, or you, as a girl, to feel obligated to pleasure a man in ways you don’t really feel comfortable with. Keep in mind that every relationship is cultivated with feelings and respect.

Porn degrades intimacy. It transforms love to a mare mating activity

As I was listening to these college students, one of the guys said that it takes a huge effort from a girl to turn him on. I’ve heard comedians say that the best love they ever had was with their mind and one hand. Once you train your brain to stimulate your body through just a video, then sooner or later you won’t realize the need for a real sexual partner.

For the ladies, you’ll keep telling yourself that men are dogs, while in real sense you are the one who allowed them to treat you like an object. If your man is obsessed with porn my advice, don’t let them try that on you. Eventually, you’ll feel like you don’t have any value as a decent, loving girlfriend or wife and end up being exactly that, valueless. Remember, sex is only a big deal before you have it. Once it’s done it loses its meaning and becomes just another word in the dictionary.
